SAVE ELECTRICITY

Minimise the use of appliances, turn off lights, and reduce airconditioner use

Act Local & Have a Global Impact

Electricity today has become an indispensable asset. Whatever we are doing most likely will be requiring the use of electricity! There are small tricks that allow us to save electricity and, consequently, to use less resources and pollute less.

Switch off lights you don’t need and turn on the lights you really need only.

In Winter decrease the heater temperature of 1 or 2 degrees; in Summer increase the air conditioning of 1 or 2 degrees.

Line dry the clothes instead of using the dryer when possible. It takes a little bit longer to hang them dry but it will preserve nature. Look for drying racks.

Install solar panels if you can

Use LED bulbs, they use 6X less electricity than the standard bulbs.

Wash your clothes with cold water. Read your detergent instructions, today most of them work well in cold water.
